Cathy Rowland American Baby Artist

Today we are very happy to announce a new doll artist for the Doll Connection Store. Her name is Cathy Rowland and she is our newest silicone baby artist. Cathy's first baby with us is little Reggie Carter. We think he is very cute and also value priced. Please take look at him and call Ann immediately if you are interested. 

 

 

From Cathy, About Cathy...

My name is Cathy Rowland and I am  an American sculptor as well as a reborning artist. I am a married 38-year-old with 3 beautiful children, two girls and a son. My husband is from England and hails from the Manchester area. I  work from home where I sculpt, make reborn babies and run a thriving, busy ecommerce website for reborning supplies. I began making porcelain dolls about 21 years ago and continued perfecting my work with porcelain off and on for many years. I discovered and embarked on the journey of learning reborning while browsing through the internet one day. I have been doing reborning for about 5 years now.

After going  to IDEX in June, 2006 and taking a sculpting class, I fell in love with it! I have been practicing sculpting for about 3 years now and I just love it as well! My personal inspiration began with my own children. I love recreating that special time in babies. My live ones grew out of that time too fast!

I am very inspired by the work of many artists, especially ones with lots of expression in their work. There is no feeling like recreating the priceless moment of your baby sleeping in peace, or the happy expression when they are so innocent, and that inspires me when I sculpt. Cathy
