From Ann, July 7, 2011: Today we present brand new dolls from Gaby! Please help us welcome Kimberly, Kylie, and Jenny, three African/American sisters. Introduction by Ann:

I decided to offer Gaby's quality hand-made, hand-painted dolls after experiencing the quality she is producing. The vinyl is poured in a quality factory in Germany and the eyes are made of crystal glass. The clothing and accessories are superb. Her dolls offer collectors an outstanding value for the quality of the dolls coming from Switzerland and Europe. These are wonderful dolls made by Gaby's hands from all the materials she chooses. These dolls are made at Gaby's studio by Gaby one at a time, not in a factory! Each doll is customized with the raw materials chosen by Gaby herself.

Each Swiss Kid doll has crystal glass eyes and is dressed individually. The Swiss Kids are from 25 inches to 27 inches tall. Each one comes with a Swiss passport! The 28 inch Swiss Darling Girls are each hand-made and individually created and dressed. The head, torso, legs, and arms are the quality German vinyl. They also have crystal glass eyes and high quality clothing that has been carefully adjusted to the particular doll.

A Few Words From Gaby Jaques:

The Swiss Kids and Swiss Darlings are hand-made by me in my studio. I started as a doll artist about 20 years ago. The activity of doll making has been in my life since then. I sometimes sculpt until the early morning hours. As a result of these intense working hours, all the babies, toddlers and school kids come into being. I even mould tiny shell babies which measure of only a couple of centimeters. All of my dolls are carefully sculpted to the smallest details - creases, fingers, toenails, and so on. That is why they look so stunningly realistic.

I am a kindergarten teacher, I love children with all of my heart and want to convey this by my dolls.

My preferred sculpting material is Supersculpy, a substance which is used by all famous doll artists. I have been awarded with many prices at national and international competitions. My doll making seminaries always are booked out. In 2 to 3 days the members are able to sculpt a realistic baby doll.

I have now started with my very own new vinyl doll collections: Swiss Kids and Swiss Darling Girls. A series of sweet babies and cute toddlers and beautiful little girls. Every year I present them at different doll exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany and USA. I live happily in Switzerland near Zurich.
