Jubilee Doll Max, Rumpumpel Baby

Jubilee Doll Max. To celebrate the 90th Birthday of Max Kruse. With this lovely doll we congratulate Käthe Kruse's son Max Kruse to his 90th birthday. Max is a 13 in. tall Rumpumpel Baby with a smaller version of the Doll I head. The cloth head is made in a special rough structure and the eyes and hair are hand painted. Max wears a sailor suit typical for the 1920s and 30s. Little Max used to wear one as a child. Max comes with a little donkey, in reference to the donkey Asina - also called Rosinchen. Asina used to carry the Käthe Kruse dolls from the manufacture to the train station for delivery. Max often 'borrowed' the donkey to earn some extra money by letting the town's children ride on her.

The Small Du Mein, Wunschkind Sleeping and Wunschkind Awake. Wunschkind is a small Du Mein with a 19 in. tall baby. The body is traditionally hand stuffed with reindeer hair and the arms and legs are loosely sewn to the body. The lovely face is hand painted. The brown real hair wig is hand knotted and the baby wears a lovely dress and wool jacket. Wunschkind is offered as a sleeping doll with closed eyes or awake with open eyes. son Friedebald - the only one of her seven children portrayed in a doll. The face is hand painted and the real hair wig is styled with love. Oliver's dress is inspired by the Zille Milieu in Berlin - a period from the 1850s to the 1930s.
